Dr. Teresa Gómez

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid, Teresa specialized in ophthalmology at the Instituto Oftálmico of the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital.

She has developed her professional experience as Head of the Oculoplastic and Refractive Surgery Section at Hospital de la Zarzuela, Team Leader in Ophthalmology at Hospital Nisa Pardo de Aravaca, and Ophthalmologist at the Dionisia Plaza Special Education Center.

Teresa has always had a particular interest in pediatric ophthalmology and the diagnosis of syndromes from an interdisciplinary perspective. As a result, her professional journey has increasingly focused on the field of disability. She believes that a person’s learning is fundamentally sensory, making it essential to ensure the best possible vision to foster interaction with their environment and enhance their independence.
